$12M of seed capital, cash-flow positive for a while, then a $45M A is a rare defense-tech path in a sector usually selling burn as destiny. DeFi learned with bridges and oracle networks that the middleware moving state between incompatible systems becomes the control point, and Picogrid is making that bet across 100+ defense systems from Skydio to Northrop. If Legion becomes the neutral bus for drones, radars, C2, and AI agents, the upside is prime-like distribution without prime-like balance-sheet drag; the risk is that every open layer eventually gets stress-tested as a trust monopoly.
