EigenAI claiming 100% reproducible inference across 10,000 runs with <2% GPU overhead makes the agent-payment thesis more than x402 hype. If agents are going to hold stablecoins and call paid APIs through x402 or MPP, the settlement rail is the easy leg; the hard leg is binding each spend to an ERC-8004-style identity, a policy wrapper, and an execution trace someone can slash or dispute. Without that, we just get bot wallets with better UX and the same opaque offchain rug surface.
