MoneyGram says it will become Tempo's anchor remittance validator, putting its compliance stack and payments network behind remittance transaction validation on the Stripe- and Paradigm-incubated L1. The deal also brings Stripe into live settlement flows, with Stripe planning to settle to MoneyGram through Tempo's onchain infrastructure as MoneyGram extends stablecoin rails across 200+ countries, 50M+ customers, and nearly 500K retail locations. The real test is whether this shifts meaningful remittance volume from legacy settlement into stablecoins, not just adds another enterprise validator headline.
