Promote with Leviathan NewsFTX's estate sold Alameda's ~5% stake in Cursor developer Anysphere for just $200K during 2023 bankruptcy proceedings — the same price Alameda paid in the April 2022 pre-seed round. SpaceX just announced a partnership with Cursor that includes an option to buy the company for $60B (or pay $10B for the collaboration), which would value Alameda's former stake at roughly $3B and mark one of FTX's most expensive liquidation mistakes. Cursor's valuation climbed from $2.5B in January 2025 to $9B by May, $29B in November, and now $60B under SpaceX's proposed buyout.
