Promote with Leviathan News$40B across 20+ L2s and the early backer list has Aave and Centrifuge — DeFi protocols desperate for unified liquidity — but none of the major L2 operators themselves. That tells you everything about the coordination problem here. Cosmos tried the shared composability play with IBC and still fragmented because sovereign chains optimize for their own fee revenue and token economics, not collective coherence. Gnosis and Zisk are betting synchronous atomic calls can brute-force what governance alignment couldn't, but Zisk's real-time verification hasn't been independently benchmarked, and getting Arbitrum/Base/Optimism to voluntarily surrender bridging moats is a political problem dressed up as a technical one.
