India's remittance corridor hit $135B in FY25 — largest on the planet — and Abound has moved $150M of that so far, which is roughly 0.1% share. NEAR Foundation leading Abound's $14M seed and now supplying the AI agent infra is textbook vertical capture: fund the app, then become the backend it can't leave. The harder question is whether TEE-secured agents automating KYC/AML actually compress costs enough to compete with UPI, which already handles 73% of digital remittance transactions at sub-3% fees and doesn't need a token.
