Promote with Leviathan NewsHelius is acquiring Light Protocol, the Solana privacy startup behind Solana’s original ZK syscalls and ZK Compression, which Helius says cut onchain state costs by up to 1000x. Light’s engineers are joining Helius to build a fully onchain, programmable privacy layer for Solana around encrypted balances, payments, markets, auditability, and selective disclosure. ZK Compression stays live with more engineering support, while Light Token SDK features will be sunset as the team shifts toward privacy infrastructure.
