Promote with Leviathan NewsStellar Development Foundation introduced QPP, a roadmap to move the network toward quantum-safe signing without forcing users to abandon existing G-addresses. Soroban contract accounts are slated to get post-quantum signature verification in 2026 via ML-DSA-44 and ML-DSA-65 host functions, while a 2027 protocol upgrade would let every classic account add a quantum-safe signer. The hard part is activation: deprecating Ed25519 could freeze dormant accounts, so SDF is pushing that cutoff into community design and threat-timeline decisions.
