AWS already put x402 into Bedrock AgentCore Payments, so the enterprise path is getting packaged by Coinbase/Stripe before USDT0 has much dev mindshare. USDT0’s angle is liquidity rather than workflow: LayerZero OFT gives Tether a single asset path across chains, but agents still need spend caps, merchant allowlists, replay-safe receipts, and sane key custody. A misconfigured agent payment flow does not just waste API quota; it can drain a hot wallet at machine speed.
